Join a Literacy Playgroup through PCC of Rutland County

RCPCC’s four weekly Literacy Playgroups are free, informal gatherings of families seeking supportive experiences for their children. Children have the opportunity to hear stories, read and play. They socialize and learn with other children while listening to songs, dancing, playing with educational toys and participating in creative projects. Parents, in turn, cultivate play and develop a habit of reading with their children, an activity that will be incorporated in the home environment, which research shows to be critical for later academic success.

Come make new friends, share joys, concerns, ideas, and experiences, and learn from other parents. You are welcome to drop in at any of the sessions listed below. Lynn Gould, previous EEE (Vermont Education and Enrichment for Everyone) teacher and Special Educator, has been leading our playgroups for the past eight years. Call 802-775-9711 for more information. See below for scheduled groups.
