Early Childhood and the “Whole Family”
The Parent Child Center of Rutland County provides a “Whole Family” approach to high quality early childhood education by viewing needs of working parents as central to family success. To help these families, we offer extended hours as well as scholarships that help families who struggle with the costs of child care because subsidy does not cover it. We provide full-day, year-round education and 4 STAR childcare by certified teachers at two facilities, one in Rutland and one in Brandon. Our classrooms apply a Montessori approach, one that encourages the individuality of each child through engaging and self directed learning, focusing on Kindergarten-readiness, literacy, and executive functioning skills.
