Building Community – Beatles Tribute Band Fundraiser
The PCC had our first winter fundraiser in Nov, 2019 at Rutland’s Elk Club. 250 people from the Rutland community came out to support us on that cold snowy night! STUDIO TWO, New England’s premier Beatles Tribute Band demonstrated what amazing musicians they truly are. The energy in the room was palpable – people were laughing, dancing, and singing along with the band. Many thanks to Celebration Rentals, VNA and Hospice, and About Face Orthodontics for sponsoring this event.
Building community is how we’re approaching our spring event, LIVING AGAIN, BETTER, at The Paramount Theater on Friday June 5th, 2020. We will reunite with Studio Two to focus on poverty in our shared community. We will have gift baskets filled with ‘gifts’, all proceeds going to our many programs serving the needs of Rutland families, specifically, young women raising their children. This music and raffle basket night aims to bring more awareness to the issues inherent in poverty facing our city and many towns in Vermont. As we like to say here at the PCC – ‘Removing The Barriers That Perpetuate Poverty’. This is what we strive to accomplish daily.
