RCPCC’s New Year Approach

Everyone’s exhausted. Understatement. So, how are we at RCPCC coping with the stress of this pandemic as individuals and as staff with our clients? “I do my best when I’m not at work to center myself with meditation, music and a spiritual path I can rely on,” says Chris Laro – outreach director of SAPLINGS and ‘The 7’s Club’ youth programs in Brandon, Vt. “That always includes walking in Nature year round as the woods have all the answers we need for self-ease.” CFO Ted Barnet says, “I spend more hours outside staying active rather than being home resting.” The staff in all of RCPCC’s departments – CIS (Child Integrated Services), Learning Together, and ECE (Early Childhood Education) are expected and urged to take the essential time required to center themselves and relieve overdue stress. Modalities such as massage, meditation, weekly in office rest time, employee retreat seminars for staff to re-connect and more are encouraged by the Executive Director, Mary Feldman. Read More
