Children’s Integrated Services at Rutland County Parent Child Center offers family support and early intervention services that help ensure the healthy development and well-being of children, pre-birth to age 5. Services are available at no cost to families.
CIS Early Interventionist/Family Support Specialist
Rutland County Parent Child Center seeks a full-time Early Interventionist in our Children’s Integrated Services (CIS) Department. The CIS staff member works with children & families to provide Early Intervention Services (Early interventionists are trained professionals who provide important evaluations and services to babies and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities) and Family Support (Family Support Specialist provide individualized plans to assist families in overcoming barriers and challenges i.e. housing, transportation, childcare etc.). The CIS staff members will coordinate Early Intervention Services and work collaboratively with other service providers to ensure the needs of the families are met.The work with children and families may be conducted in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to, office, classroom and home.
This opportunity requires a Bachelor’s in social work or related field.
In addition to a degree this position also required an Early Intervention Certificate after a required 2 years of in field experience. This certificate can be obtained while employed and we are willing to train the right candidate.
Position also requires driving; therefore, must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills (with both children and adults), Microsoft programs, reliability in meeting firm deadlines, extraordinary patience (children have Herculean inner strength), and a wellspring of joy (we want you to love what you do and we want our children and families to know it).
